Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information for software products and services provided through ahuange.com, and any future tools we may publish,By using our software or website, you agree to the practices described here.
For legal terms governing your use of the software, see our Terms of Service. For refund procedures, see our Refund Policy.
1. Information We May Process
To deliver our services, we may process the following categories of information:
- Email address — provided by our payment processor when you purchase a license, or when you contact us.
- Order ID — generated by our payment processor and associated with your license.
- Machine ID (hardware fingerprint) — a salted SHA-256 hash derived from hardware identifiers such as your motherboard UUID, hard disk serial number, and/or CPU serial number. The hash is computed on your device. We do not knowingly store or transmit the original hardware identifiers. Under GDPR and CCPA, hardware identifiers that can be linked to an individual are considered personal data; we treat the machine ID accordingly.
- Support correspondence — the content of emails or messages you send us.
- Server logs — IP address and request timestamp, retained for security and abuse prevention purposes.
When hardware identifiers may be read: Only when needed for license verification — typically (a) when you launch the software to generate the machine ID; (b) when you click "Activate Pro" to verify the license with our server; and (c) when using Pro features to confirm authorization status. Outside these events, the software does not intentionally read hardware identifiers.
2. What We Do Not Intentionally Collect
- We do not intentionally collect, upload, or store the content of files you process with our software.
- We do not require an account to use the free versions of our tools.
- Our website does not require login and does not intentionally set tracking or advertising cookies. If we add cookies or analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate disclosure or choice.
- We do not collect payment card numbers — our payment processor, Waffo Pancake, handles all card data under its own PCI-DSS compliance program.
3. How We Use Information
- To verify your license and activate Pro features.
- To process and fulfill your order.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized license use.
- To send critical service notifications (e.g., security updates) when reasonably necessary.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for advertising or cross-website profiling.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the service:
- Waffo Pancake — payment processing, tax compliance, and order records (as our Merchant of Record).
- Cloudflare — website hosting, file downloads, and email forwarding infrastructure.
- Email provider — to receive and respond to your support emails.
Legal requests: We may disclose information if required by valid legal process (court order, government request with proper jurisdiction). We reserve the right to challenge requests we believe are improper.
Third-party components in software: Our software uses third-party open-source libraries. We review these components but do not guarantee their behavior. Some components may perform network actions such as version checks. If you prefer to block all network access, you may use Windows Firewall or similar tools to prevent the software from accessing the internet — note that this will also prevent Pro activation.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- The machine ID uses a salted one-way hash. The original hardware identifiers are not practically recoverable from the machine ID, assuming the salt remains protected.
- Hash computation occurs locally on your device. Original hardware identifier values are not intentionally written to disk, are kept in memory only briefly during computation, and are not knowingly transmitted over the network.
- Server-side data is stored in a managed database with access limited to the developer.
- Network communication between the software and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that poses risk to your rights, we will notify affected users and the relevant authority as required by applicable law (for example, GDPR Article 33 generally requires notification to the supervisory authority within 72 hours).
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, and as required or permitted by applicable law (including tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements). Because retention needs vary, we do not commit to fixed deletion deadlines for every category. In general:
- Order and license records: retained for the lifetime of the product to the extent needed for license verification and tax compliance.
- Activation and security logs: retained for a reasonable period for fraud prevention.
- Support correspondence: retained for a reasonable period to provide continuity of support.
You may request earlier deletion of your data where legally permitted (see Section 7).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. Under the GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), these may include the right to:
- Know what personal data we process about you.
- Request access to and a copy of your personal data.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your personal data, to the extent permitted by law.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Restrict network access: You may use Windows Firewall or similar tools to block the software's network access. This will prevent Pro activation, but free features should remain available.
- Request data portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format where applicable.
- Withdraw consent for processing, where consent is the legal basis.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the online contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time, and in any event within the period required by applicable law (typically up to 30 days under GDPR).
8. International Transfers
Your information may be processed by our service providers in the United States, the European Union, and the Asia-Pacific region. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the service providers' compliance with applicable privacy frameworks (such as GDPR and CCPA) to seek to ensure your data receives equivalent protection regardless of where it is processed.
9. Children's Privacy
Our software is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., by email or a notice on the website) in advance of the changes taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
11. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us via the online contact form. You will reach a human, not a bot.
